Career and Service Exploration
School Links
School Links is an online career exploration tool provided by all Unit 4 middle schools. This program allows students and families to access information about careers and the process needed to achieve a desired career. EMS Counselors facilitate career guidance lessons using the information on the School Links database. Students complete career exploration activities. These skills help students understand what careers may be compatible with their interests, how hobbies and activities can connect to academic and career success, how to build their personal strengths and how to get help within areas of growth. By the end of 8th grade, students will have an online portfolio that showcases their middle school academic and personal accomplishments. During 9th grade registration, this portfolio helps students discuss with the 8th grade and high school counselors their high school academic plans.
